Windows 7 arrived to rave reviews after the failure of Vista, but a leaked roadmap suggest that we could see Windows 8 as soon as 2012.

The 2012 date pencilled-in is in keeping with Microsoft's ethos of launching "hero" products every four years. With thousands getting used to the new OS across the globe, Microsoft is expected to make the unsuprisingly code named, "Windows 8" an even better improvement.
Other major releases we could expect to see in the interim according to the leak, includes Windows Mobile 7 and Windows Server 2008. Obviously Microsoft has denied the plans, but we could see a sales executive let the cat out of the bag any day now.
